The Wheelchair Dance Association ( WDA )

The Choughs are affiliated to a National Body, the Wheelchair Dance Association ( WDA ) who govern and apply the rules and regulations of the association.

The Wheelchair Dance Association, (WDA) the National body, was formed in 1974 with all teams having to observe rules etc. laid down by the controlling body. This body determines the category at which an individual dances by assessing their level of disability i.e. A, B, or C

The officers and the elected members of the Executive Commitee, 0ne from England and one from Scotland, meet twice a year. The meeting in March, which is the AGM. The morning meeting is for the Executive Committee members and after lunch is the open AGM.The November executive meeting is followed in the afternoon by new dances bought by the executive committee members, to add to our dance profile.
